Is it possible to maintain the end user on Netweaver gateway

Hi Team,

I am working on one project where I have a need to authenticate the end user. but the problem is my end user are not the SAP licence users.

Is it possible to maintain the user on SAP Net weaver gateway system and authenticate the user on it.  by using the following url -

sample url - https://ipaddress or host name :port/sap/bc/ping?sap-client=100

Can I configure this URL on SMP under security authentication by using httpbasic authentication.?

I am planning to use the technical user/RFC user for calling the Odata service on the back end.

Can someone please explain if this approach will work? please let me know if additional information needed.
