Flat file datasource adapter internal behaviour

Hi Team,

Need input related to flat file datasource adapter.

I am getting wrong data while loading the data to the target through flat file. ( Let say we have calmonth like 082015 in the flat file, but in the target we are gettin the data like 820150) I want to know how the adapter will take the data and process the data. and in which format we need to send the data through flat file.

Please help me in this.
