Gurus,
I need your opinion on if there's a proven resolution for the below issue i face with Audit log files
Environment:
BOBJ 4.1 SP4 Clustered on 2 nodes (2 APP & 2 WEB - TOMCAT 7) / RED HAT LINUX / AUDIT DB ORACLE 11G
Issue:
We have an issue wherein CMS fails to write back some of the Audit files to the ADS db. So, the TEMP folder on both of our APP servers are piled up with Audit log files up to 7 GB in the Auditing directory. This seems to be effecting our BOBJ servers performance. We want to clear these up but first want to make sure we can write these back to the Audit database without losing any. When i referenced some material i could not find a proper way to write back these files to the database.
Questions:
How to make sure I don't lose any Audit log file data?
If there's no way to write these to the Audit database, will it impact me if i try to query "the no.of reports created on top of a specific universe" like queries?
If we have to back these Audit logs before clearing, is there a value to this in helping to add these to the database?
Your inputs would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tsar
